The Sunday Times Bestseller behind the major new film from Ridley Scott starring Matt Damon and Jessica Chastain.

I’m stranded on Mars.

I have no way to communicate with Earth.

I’m in a Habitat designed to last 31 days.

If the Oxygenator breaks down, I’ll suffocate. If the Water Reclaimer breaks down, I’ll die of thirst. If the Hab breaches, I’ll just kind of explode. If none of those things happen, I’ll eventually run out of food and starve to death.

So yeah. I’m screwed.

  • Fabulous nerdy excitement

I read this book in one sitting, captivated. It's detailed, full of solid science and engineering, but still manages to be exiting, compelling reading. Mark Watney is a likeable, rounded hero one gets behind very quickly. The rest off the characters may be little more than sketches, but they're believable and have just enough back story to relate to. A fabulous first book and I'm looking forward to further books from this author!

Really hoping they make a movie or tv series out of this one. Loved every second of it.

Ingenioso, ameno y original. Escrito en lenguaje slang coloquial. Una aventura increíble, muy bien hilada, que llega a parecer verosímil. Se lee de un tirón.
